The Young Adult Sunday School class meets at 9:30 on Sunday mornings
and is intended for high school graduates through age 25. The goals of
this class are the same as other classes - to grow disciples of Jesus
Christ and build relationships. So, how does this class differ? Our
focus is on:
- Scriptures that are unlikely to have received much
attention in classes you attended while growing up (e.g., the Minor
Prophets, Kings/Chronicles, Ecclesiastes, Nehemiah),
- Contemporary"hot" topics (e.g., the notion of a "just war", euthanasia, illegal
downloading of music), and
- Topics intended to spur us toward
involvement in the church and our communities (moving from being fed
to both feeding ourselves and others). On occasion, one of the young
adults will teach a lesson or a series on some topic of interest to
him or her.
