Welcome. From the time God got a hold of my life in 1979 I’ve tried passionately to get closer to God. I believe that should be the goal of every person, to grow closer to God. As I’ve drawn closer I have discovered that Christianity isn’t a destination – it’s a journey. We make this journey together; one step at a time; sometimes falling on our faces; sometimes getting distracted, but prayerfully, always moving forward together. As a pastor I know how important worship is to this journey. It is the moment when we try to eliminate as many distractions as possible to make it easy for people to connect with God.

Among many things, worship is a time to give God thanks, to receive the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ, and the strength of the Holy Spirit. It is where we lift our voices in songs of praise and our prayers of intercession for one another. Worship is a time to connect with others on the journey – rejoicing and grieving, encouraging and loving one another as we give back to God this gift of our time. Amazingly, while worship is intended to be more about what we bring to God, God never fails to bless us. It happens every Sunday morning at Aldersgate. Come and join us on this journey of faith.
