Sometime in the next few weeks, we will be publishing a listing of names, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of members of our congregation. This will be for use within the church only. If you do not want any of this infor-mation published concerning you, please notify the office at 997-6065 immediately. If you have made a name, address, telephone, or e-mail address change recently, please let us know.

Would You Like to Be Part of the Aldersgate Care Team?
Would you like to receive a blessing by blessing others? You are invited to share your God-given talents with those in need
by participating in the Aldersgate Care Team. Being a volunteer is a one-year commitment.
You can choose to
1) cook and deliver a meal
2) send a card
3) drive someone to an appointment
4) assist in setting up for church functions/dinners
5) assist in cleanup following church func-tions/dinners
6) yard work (mowing, leaf raking, snow shoveling)
7) minor house repairs
8) serving communion to shut-ins
9) make phone calls,
10) visit a shut-in once a month
11) bake bread
12) deliver bread to first-time visitors

Keep Us Informed
Local hospitals on longer inform the church when one of our congregation is admitted. If you know of someone who has been hospitalized, please let us know right away so we can offer pastoral care to them. Please do not assume that we already know, give us a call anyway.

New Sunday Schedule
The Church Council, Worship Committee and Education Committee have determined the times for our two worship services and one Sunday school hour. The schedule is 8:30 Worship, 9:30 Sunday School Gathering, 10:30 Worship. The move to these new times took place on Sunday, January 8, 2012.

While any shift in schedules often causes a disruption in the lives of those used to the old schedule and is an important reason why we try to avoid changing schedules too often, this shift in worship and education times will allow our congregation to refocus our attention on Christian education and enhance worship on Sunday mornings.

Scholarship Announcement
Applications are being accepted for the AUMC Christian Vocation Scholarship. If you are a graduating senior or are attending a college or university full-time, are a member of Aldersgate, and are planning to pursue a vocation in fulltime ministry, you’re eligible to apply. The maximum amount of the scholarship is $1,000. Applications may be picked up in the church office and must be completed and returned no later than March 31, 2012.
