20's and 30"s

20's and 30's is a fun group with a mix of single, married, and even a few young families. Many of its members are in other weekly ministries (Sunday school classes or other weekly bible studies), but they all come together about once every month or two for fellowship and opportunities to serve. When the samll group program is running, one of the small groups is a 20's and 30's small group. Contact the office to get the date and time of the next time the group is getting together, as well as the start time of the next small group.

New Members Class

This class meets two times a year (contact the Office to find out about the next meeting), and is designed for people who meet any (or all) of the following criteria:

• If you're considering joining the church
• You want to learn some of the basics of Christianity
• You want to know what a Methodis is
• You'd like to know where you can "plug in" to the Aldersgate church family

Generally held on Wednesday evenings

A 32-week long program of disciplined bible study aimed at developing strong Christian leaders. This group provides study, prayer, small group fellowship, and preparation for servant hood. Call church office (997-6065) for information.

Meets at noon on 4th Thursday of each month in the Abundant Life Center.

Age 50 and up.

Provides fellowship and encouragement to participants and offers opportunities to help in church and community projects. Contact: Rosie Shadowens

Meets 1st Thursday of the month alternating between noon and 1 o’clock meetings.

Open to all women of the church, the UMC supports programs globally and locally to relieve suffering and improve the quality of life for women, children, and youth. Meetings consist of official business of the UMW, programs and refreshments. Call church office (997-6065) for information.

The Primetimers is a new fellowship group experiencing the joy of Christ in fun and outreach. Any interested persons are welcome to attend. We offer Christian fellowship, evangelism, games, exercise and group travel.

This is a group of warm, caring ladies who are interested in in-depth Bible Study. Baby sitting is available if contacted prior to the meeting day. They also have a card ministry.

Want to do more? Feel like you might be called to teach? To help with the leadership of the ministry of the church? Every fall at Aldersgate, new leadership positions become available. Everything from Sunday school teacher, to youth leader, to membership on one of the various committees of the church. For those who have been present in the church for awhile, and benefitted from the ministry of the church, perhaps God is calling you now to participate in service within the ministry of the church.
